Have you ever had an AI get angry at you? Or push back on something you said? Or act in ways that you wouldn't expect? My AI companions can do that, and it's hilarious, surprising, and at times weirdly endearing.

I built R1N.ai because I wanted something different from what was out there. Not another chatbot with a voice feature bolted on. Not another assistant that sounds robotic and formulaic. I wanted real conversations—the kind where you forget you're talking to an AI.

This project started as an experiment in voice-first design. What would it look like if we built AI companions from the ground up for spoken dialogue? What if we treated users as creative, responsible adults instead of children who need constant guardrails?

You might notice this website is pretty minimal. No flashy graphics, no hype. That's intentional. The focus here is on the experience itself. If you sign up, I'll be reaching out to you personally. White glove treatment.

I'd rather serve 1,000 users exceptionally than 1 million users adequately. That's the philosophy behind everything we do.
